Online Utility Payments

Blue Ridge Heritage Trail
Sparta is a site on the Blue Ridge Heritage Trail.

The town is requesting voluntary water conservation due to the abnormally dry conditions.

Debit/Credit Card Payments of Utility Bills

The Town of Sparta accepts credit and debit card payments at the Town Hall for utility bills. A transaction fee of 3.0% will be charged to your card at the time of payment. Utility bills can also be paid on-line through Xpress-Pay with a credit or debit card. A transaction fee of 3.0% will be charged to your card at the time of the on-line payment.

High Country Regional Hazard
Mitigation Plan Update

The High Country Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update is now available for public review and comment! The Counties of Alleghany, Ashe, Watauga, and Wilkes (including the jurisdictions within) are currently engaged in a planning process to become less vulnerable to natural disasters. Your participation is important to us! This federally required plan, developed with funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), ensures that plan participants remain eligible for hazard mitigation project funding. Comments and questions will be received until September 29, 2017 and can be directed to Patty Gambill, Emergency Management Coordinator, County of Ashe at View the Plan.
